After finishing our first ever season in second place of division 3, accumulating 24 points after 12 games and having the best goal difference in the league (+24), we were promoted two divisions.

Our season so far has been interrupted with injuries and fixture implications. Going into the Christmas break we have only managed to play 3 games in the league. As it is with most Sunday teams, our squad this year is considerably different to last, so as expected it takes time to gel and find our feet after being promoted two divisions. That being said, there is no doubt that with the players we have, we should be pushing for promotion and that’s the aim for us with the bulk of our season still in front of us.

As you’d expect carrying the Romulus name, there are core values that you must have to represent Roms Sunday. But in true Sunday league fashion, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and most importantly, have fun with it.

But you’re not having fun unless you’re winning so let’s hope we can have a strong first season in division one.
